Introducing Dash

Over the weekend, Scott & I went down to St. George to meet my parents at my grandma's house. We also went down there not just for a visit but to receive our new puppy!! It's a boy and he is my lil half breed!

The story about him is this: My parents were walking into Petsmart and saw this woman carrying a cute puppy who looked like he was partially weenie dog (dachshund). They stopped to pet him and this woman started telling them her story. She had decided on getting a dog for her son and she went to the pound to go look. She found this puppy who was 4 days away from being put down. He was only 4 months old and was found wandering the streets. She said she couldn't just leave him, so she took him from the pound to give to her son. The son apparently couldn't take him, so now she was stuck with him, but she couldn't take him because she was going to California and she already had two dogs. She said her husband would be upset if she brought home another dog! Therefore, she was trying to get rid of him. My mother (who has become a softie in her later years) couldn't let him go either. She just looked at my dad and he told her to take him. She knew that we wanted another weenie dog so she thought of me when she was taking him. And they brought him up to St. George to meet us and give him to us! And thats the story!

This little guy is half miniature dachshund, half terrier (don't know exactly what kind) and he is so cute! My lil half-breed! Haha! He gets along really well with Meli who is my fat weenie dog! The cat finds him interesting and will play with him a little bit too. We had a lot of names picked out for him but couldn't decide on exactly who he was. My family named him Dug after the movie 'Up!' but he just wasn't a Dug. If anything, Meli is a Dug because she is fat, and has the same 'Dug' eyes, and smile. There was also Tigger because he kind of looks like a tiger with his orange and black stripes. But Tigger I didn't really like. We thought of Spock which would've been really cool! But... he just wasn't a Spock either. Then, I was listening to Dashboard Confessionals (one of my all time favorite bands) and I knew his name was to be Dash. It fits him just perfect. So here we are, introducing our new member to the family, Dash!

This is when my parents were bringing him up. He is the best traveler. He just sits in one spot (wherever you put him, he stays) and sleeps. The perfect travel dog. I love this picture because its so funny how he sleeps haha!
Here is Dash! He is with my brother Tanner before they brought him up to us. He has the face of a terrier and a body of a weenie dog! I love his face though, he has cute old man whiskers but an adorable puppy face. My lil half-breed...awww!
This is all I can do for now, but I will add some more pics.

Mike first of all YOU'RE UGLY, and second of all you must have the worst taste in everything especially movies. All the movies that you said sucked were good movies.

Ahhhh! He is so cute, Dash was fun to have here but it really stressed out Wilson. Dobi didn't really care one way or the other. Sure hope he potty trains quickly.
